...women dedicated to a better Canada.

Welcome to IODE in Alberta

IODE MISSION STATEMENT: Founded in 1900, IODE Canada is a national women’s charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals, through education support, community service and citizenship programs.

OUR CONTRIBUTION TO CANADA: IODE members give their time, talent and resources to make Canada a better place for all its citizens. As IODE’s historical road changed direction in each decade, we gathered awareness to the needs around us and responded in innovative, creative and diverse ways.

WHAT’S NEW:

IODE Alberta welcomes a new chapter: IODE JUNO BEACH CHAPTER, Calgary

IODE Juno Beach Chapter celebrated its bestowal of charter ceremony on Saturday March 2010 during the 92nd annual meeting luncheon of IODE Municipal Chapter of Calgary. The twelve inaugural members are drawn from Juno Beach Academy. They are busy planning for increased community involvement outside their school. We look forward to hearing much more from this enthusiastic group of young women.

110 Anniversary Celebrations

This year IODE is celebrating its 110th Anniversary. TARGET 2010 … and beyond is the name of IODE’s 110th anniversary project aimed at poverty and homelessness; children and youth; or seniors. Each provincial chapter selected as their focus one of the three identified areas with the collective goal to contribute one million dollars to Canada.

IODE Alberta members are busy walking across Alberta to raise funds for a provincial anti-bullying program. Our goal is to leave a lasting legacy to improve the lives of Alberta youth. Walkathons have been held Calgary, Edmonton and many other communities across Alberta. Please support your local chapter in its 110th anniversary celebrations.

All proceeds go to charitable projects
